Audit evidence. Persuasion Speech has 7 confirmed assets, but only the Print Advertising Toolkit is directly usable. The 101 adjacent assets are uneven: many are US senior argument, AP Language, or debate resources. This pack therefore uses 16 reviewed assets, two reuses, and seven builds. It is the third pack and the most build-heavy.

Before you teach

  • Normalise US spelling and US civics examples in the reviewed assets. The Print Advertising Toolkit, Visual Campaign Strategies, Magazine Covers, Logical Fallacies Quiz, Exemplar Speech Outline, Speech Transitions, Persuasive Essay Worksheet, Language/Power quiz, Argumentative Rubric, and Media Literacy Stations all need adaptation.
  • Use Magazine Covers with care: it uses a US 9/11 memorial context. Adapt or replace it for an Australian Year 7 audience.
  • Use Exemplar Speech Outline for structure only. It is a best man's wedding toast, not a persuasive speech. The built Speech structure and model is the core persuasive model.
  • Treat Argumentative Rubric and Language, Power, and Manipulation Quiz as extension only. Both are senior or AP-style.
  • Use Speech vs Essay Table and Visual Language Techniques Analysis Table as templates, not complete lessons.
  • Do not schedule the youth design challenge. It has a rights flag and is excluded.
  • CORALINE speech TOPICS is optional practice with a novel context. It is not the unit's core text model.
  • Check any statistics students use. Do not let them present an unsourced number as evidence.
